Løkken - a holiday with plenty of action
|
|
Surfing in the water near the jetty. Golf on an exciting 18-hole course in varied terrain. Huge kites that can pull an adult across the ground. Bunkers on which you can climb. Paintball and laser games. Løkken is the perfect venue if you prefer a holiday with plenty of action.

Løkken has lots to offer if you're not only looking for a holiday in which to take it easy and laze in the sun. Fresh air and lots of space; in fact, only your own energy and imagination set the limits. Løkken is also a paradise for surfers and kite enthusiasts. Whether you participate yourself or just relax on the beach, the bright colours in the sky and on top of the waves is a grand spectacle on a sunny afternoon. Although the pace is more moderate here, Løkken's great 18-hole golf course in varied terrain with tall trees and open plains offers challenges for any golfer. A lovely course that's well worth a visit. There's also a 9-hole Pay & Play course, where less experienced players can enjoy a day of golfing challenges.

Mecca for climbing enthusiastsThe bunkers north of Løkken are a veritable mecca for climbing enthusiasts, and what's more they're free. But be careful: there are many sharp edges. On days when the weather is perhaps not so good, slightly older children and the young at heart can take a trip to Action House. Here you'll find go-karts, paintball, laser games, bowling, netcafé, amusement arcades, electric cars and much more. If all this activity makes you a bit peckish, Action House offers a wide range of refreshments.

Løkken on horsebackIf you'd like to experience Løkken on horseback, you can visit one of the area's riding schools, who arrange tours in the countryside and on the beach every day. The tours last 1-1½ hours and you can borrow horses to suit all temperaments.
If you fancy yourself as a potential Martina Hingis or Roger Federer, you can play tennis at our tennis courts in Løkken.

Rubjerg Knude North of Løkken begins the 12-km-long cliff known as Lønstrup Klint, marked by the almost 100-metre high Rubjerg Knude, where the lighthouse is being buried by the sand.
Take the children by the hand and enjoy the region's biggest "sandpit" and the fantastic view from the top of Rubjerg Knude.
Cycle toursIf you like cycling, you can follow the Vestkystruten (west coast route), which is a stretch of some 55 km between Blokhus and Hirtshals. Or experience Løkken seen from the hills of Børglum Bakke with a detour to Børglum and Vrensted.
